This was one of my main issues with Terence. Crawford never chased to become an A-side and be the hunted. His 2 biggest fights he was the b-side. He always talking on someone’s business but don’t wanna give dudes a shot with his name first on the poster.

Top Rank tried to sue and got a settlement on PBC in 2015/2016. The posts I showed are from 2018/2019. A whole 3 years later


If "TC was collateral damage" why was he the only one who got this level of disrespect?


And if they were attacking him at this level, why would anyone Crawford should have not resigned with Top Rank and signed with PBC?

This. I remember the thread announcing him resigning with TR and everyone's reaction to it. It was a massive mistake by Terrence. Who knows what the other companies were offering him, but he definitely should not have resigned.

I wonder though if he would have been far a bigger star under TR if HBO never got rid of boxing. I feel like him fighting on ESPN hurt his stock. Really HBOs demise is directly responsible for the lack of true Mega stars this generation.

Yes, for sure. I'm not faulting them for doing it. Culturally though HBO was directly responsible for creating every mega star of the 90s and 2000s. Culturally HBO was boxing. Showtime as well, to a lesser degree, but HBO, with its production and promotion, was clearly the platform that launched mega stardom. In my opinion a large part of their demise was the departure of Floyd Mayweather and Al Haymon.

i can agree with this..one thing that HBO did that no other outlet that aired boxing was or is able to do to a high degree was to tell a story about a fighter..its bad when a pac has to be put in a PPV main event with scrubs for ppl to be interested in said scrub's fight or why canelo still has a fanbase thats wants to see him
