Yeah, I know it's an old interview. But I honestly didn't know it was Snoop who introduce him. Obviously, you see the difference between Dre from N.W.A. to Chronic. But I never knew it was Snoop who was the influence on that.

I like Terrance and all but hes a moron. Dre was sampling Funk on Straight Outta Compton :snoop:

The first track on the first album is based on a funk sample. the second biggest single on the album was based on a funk sample, and the last song on the album is based on a funk sample :laugh:

It was Big Hutch and them over at Ruthless at the time that really put him onto sampling heavy funk and he was already doing it before Snoop came around.

Big Hutch aka Cold 187 is VERY slept on as a producer....he the father of that G-Funk shyt. Him and Above The Law. Hutch and Dr. Dre co-produced on their first Ruthless album...Dre got that g-funk sine synth shyt from Hutch.
