This isn’t a Crawford thing. It happens in some capacity with every fight you’ve ever watched. They carry the other person’s belts out of the ring for TV and media purposes, but then give them back to the former champ. In the meantime, the company makes new belts for the new champ to keep.
If the actual belts changed hands you’d never see footage of old and retired champs with the belts they won on their mantle because only the current champ would have them

Those belts are made for Canelo. They always get the belts back because those belts just like Super Bowl rings are made to fit the individual.
