He would have been a beast in a spread offense. Probably would still would be a backup in the NFL, but he'd have a much better legacy as a college QB.

He should have went to Oregon.

or..

Ohio State under Tressel really should have just gone full uptempo spread.

He was never meant for a pro style offense

So did Vick, McNabb and Culpepper. I would say McNair but he played in more like an air raid offense. So it wasn't the spread that we know of now but was an open offense.

If nothing else he would have gotten a chance to throw the rock.

Yep. Sure its throwing to a lot of open wrs. But Pryor NEEDED those repetitions. He never looked comfortable or confident at Ohio State (unless it was the bowl games)

Pryor in an uptempo offense...in college?

Dude had rare 4.3 speed.

If Oregon could develop Mariota into what he is today. Why couldnt Chip Kelly turn the #1 high school recruit into a monster in college?

Mariota is a much better passer, dont get me wrong. But I think Pryor could have had more progress than he did at Ohio State.

Its not likely. Just still looked like a basketball player trying to figure out how to play QB.

I think Ohio State had a video coordinator as his QB coach so he never really developed.

im sorry, but that dude can't throw for shyt. horrible mechanics and can't do multiple reads. i appreciate the rose bowl and sugar bowl he brought us (cost us fiesta bowl against texas) but he just didn't have the skillset for nfl.
