It doesn't look that bad under the new cap, but still...they will probably have two picks in the 14-20 range next year. They could've just drafted somebody better and saved themselves the money.

Plus Ross hasn't really improved in 3 years, they should've just let him play out this year and let his performance dictate his value.

Everyone in this thread is aware of that, but that money could've been spent on better players this offseason. Ross is one of the most frustrating players in the NBA to watch, one game he'll go for 25 then he'll have 5 straight games with 5 points

Ross will be 28 when his deal's done and like @beaniemac said, it's comparable to the deal Shumpert got. With the new cap, 11 mil is basically $7-8 mil. It's not that bad, but he's definitely not worth that type of money since he doesn't really excel at anything.

I would've just signed Batum to the same kind of type deal DeMarre Carroll got this summer and draft another wing to replace Ross instead.

Doesnt matter , ross will never be better than he is now. A streaky shooter with suspect handles, cant attack the rim. Disappears in games.

Bulls exercised Snell's team option, he has two years left in his rookie deal I think. Who knows, in two years Snell might be worth that kind of guap.

To reward and pay a guy like Terrence Ross 11 mil a year is ridiculous no matter what salary cap era we are in. Living in Canada, I have watched a lot of Raps games, and you can just tell that the guy will never amount to anything more than a bench player who will give you a good game every 15-20 games. He doesn't have the drive or the passion to be a star in this league.

This makes the Landry Fields contract look like a steal....
