He is an action star, a TV personality and former NFL football player. And now, Terry Crews is his own dolled-up wife in a pre-Super Bowl commercial for Old Spice that debuted on Thursday.

The 46-year-old promotes the brand's electric shaver in a wild bit that sees him living through a nightmare that he must shave himself to destruction to escape.

Nightmare in lipstick: Terry Crews plays his own wife in a wild pre-Super Bowl commercial for Old Spice that debuted on Thursday

Bad dream: The 46-year-old suffers a nightmare and wakes up to find himself in yet another bad dream

The Expendables actor plays double duty, twice, in the viral video - first portraying an older man and his present-day self in the beginning of the segment.
The former San Diego Chargers linebacker, wearing only red shorts, demands a senior with untamed facial hair to 'shave off that nasty beard' and proceeds to shear the man's face, only to realize that he has just given himself a trim.
The concept of existing in the same place and time is apparently mind-blowing: 'Oh no, that was me!' he yells before the pair explode in fire and smoke.

Moments later he wakes up in bed, apparently realizing he suffered a nightmare, telling his wife: 'I just had the worst dream.'
What emerges from his bedside is a copy of his 6ft 3in muscular-self cloaked in a housecoat, chestnut brown wig with tresses in rollers, pink lipstick and a clearly visible goatee.

Alarmed by the sight, he screams: 'Oh no, I married myself!' and turns the electric shaver on himself where he shreds his body to bloody morsels.

The cut: Terry demands a senior with an unruly facial hair to 'shave off that nasty beard'
His female alter-ego responds from her bed: 'Men!' and a laugh track concludes the commercial, which has received more than 400,000 views only a day after premiering on YouTube.
The advert is one in a series of many Internet hits for Old Spice that the Everybody Hates Chris actor has led to popularity.
Speaking to Muscle & Fitness, he said he has taken part in the commercials because he considers the campaign an innovative entertainment medium.
'First of all, me and Old Spice, we changed what commercials were. You could actually watch commercials for entertainment now, and that was unheard of before.'

Old Terry, Old Spice: Playing double-duty, he realizes that he has just given himself a trim
He added: 'You could maybe watch the Super Bowl commercials here and there, but people watch the Old Spice commercials as if they are watching a TV show. People did say, "Why are you doing commercials?" Why? Because there are no rules, no rules - at all!'
And his experience in attracting large audiences online is certainly a good fit for his new role as host Fox's World's Funniest Fails - a series similar to America's Funniest Home Videos that takes a look at the Internet's greatest gaffes.
Terry also stars on Fox's comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine and hosts Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
For the busy father of five, with his wife of 26 years Rebecca Crews, he told Ryan Seacrest in an interview on Friday that his career resurgence was not met without challenges.

Too hot to handle: Both Terrys ignite in flames after the revelation that they are the same

'They did not see the auditions that I totally bombed. They didn’t see the years I was in the NFL and I got cut every year,' he said to the radio host of people who have congratulated him on his success.
'Failure is familiar with me … You do need to fail in order to succeed. It’s totally necessary.'
Previously Terry was in the NFL from 1991-1997, playing the position of linebacker for teams like Los Angeles Rams, San Diego Chargers, Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles.
Following his retirement from sports in 1997 he went on to pursue a career in Hollywood, starring in films like White Chicks, The Longest Yard and The Benchwarmers.

If it was Tim & Eric that directed this commercial (like most of his other old spice ads) then I can assume there is no agenda on their part because those dudes are just weird. These guys hire real life crackheads to be on their shows

But if it wasn't then....

that "white chicks" movie is a prime example of art imitating life. the person played the role SO GOOD years later we see its because it is his very essence and who he is as a person. same thing with amanda bynes on the amanda show, we saw later down the line she really was crazy as fukk.
