  It's not a secret that Tesla's oft-delayed Model X crossover will finally be in customers' hands this month, and now we've got an event to go along with the launch: next Tuesday, September 29th in Fremont, California — home of Tesla's factory.
  
  It's expected that Tesla will lay out pricing and options for the X at that time. Early deposit-holders have already been invited by the company to spec out their vehicles on a private site, but that's been for the limited edition, fully loaded "Signature" model — beyond those early builds, there will be some more variability in how much (or how little) buyers will need to spend.
  
  The Model X, with its bigger interior and unique "falcon doors" — is an important model for Tesla, but arguably not the most important one in the company's pipeline: everyone is looking at the upcoming Model 3 to help bring volume where the pricy Roadster and Model S have not. (The Model X will be just as expensive as the S, keeping it well out of reach of the mass market.) The 3 is expected to hit dealerships in in 2017.

What price point would you like? I agree with you by the way esp for the weak interior and relatively regular exterior they have IMO. You can get an older one for about 65k though with around 20-30k miles on it.

Yeah you can get one used around that price for the P85. The next one that's supposed to come out in 2/3 years is more for the regular person thighs and supposed to be around 40k

That's so expensive. It would be cheaper for me to get a gas-guzzling Ford F-150 crew cab and drive that for four years than to buy a Tesla.

You ain't saving the environment though lol. I agree though and I'm pretty sure that's most people view on it too. Most people waiting for that model 3 coming in a few years that will about 40k

Okay, it would be cheaper to get a Toyota Prius and drive that for four years than to buy a Tesla. And then, have a second car that is a Hummer H2 and drive that on the weekends. And both the Prius and H2 plus gas would be cheaper than the Tesla.

That P85 counts for double though.

You get unbelievable mileage range and performance as well. It makes sense why it'd be near the six figure price point. It's just not as great looking as other vehicles in that price bracket.
