Basically search your name and if you got any unclaimed property file a claim for it and they'll pay it out to you

Been around for a few years, I got a check for about 400 something back in 2021

Got bored and searched my name the other day and saw I had $327 in unclaimed property

I just selected the ones with my name and address.

Then you put in your information and submit. Then they'll send you an email once it's approved

Certain stuff you might have to provide documents like if it's there's unclaimed insurance money, you'll provide a copy of your policy or whatever

for me it was unpaid wages

No catch stuff like unpaid wages or any money that was owed to you

I had a security deposit from an old apartment I lived at I was able to claim

Every state has one. The site is ran by the state treasurer (at least here in Illinois).

It can be money for overpayment of a bill or a tax refund or many other things.

My only advice is to make sure you are on the correct site for your state. I didn't have any free money coming but I found a couple hundred for one of my parents.

There isn't a catch. Microsoft owed my wife $170 for overpayment on something and Carinal Cruise line owed me $60 some years back.

Ok, yea Im always skeptical about free/delayed money, but I have found the equivalent for each state I've lived in
