they move like they are a basketball blue blood but really are closer to iowa tradition wise just with better pros

What gives you this impression. Had a decent run in the first half of Rick Barnes era. Thats it. Go look at any thing involving UT alumni or fans. Just don't care about basketball nor does the program even move like a good program.

Feels a little early to move on from dude

Probably hurts them to look down the road and see the success that Houston and Sampson have had though.

Texas is without a doubt a better program than Iowa. With the right coach they could be a powerhouse...did anyone think Auburn or Bama would be where they are now? Neither had any basketball tradition, and both are title contenders.

They keep getting good coaches though and it never hits. I guess they had to fire Chris Beard, but he was the coach that was going to have them competing.

They've had some bad luck with coaches.

Their program and Ohio States are similar. Both should be routine top 15 teams, with the resources available, yet they can't seem to strong together stretches of high level

Don’t compare us to them we make the tournament pretty much every year and got way better pros

We have the 5th most tournaments appearances outta all schools since 99 only one behind Duke I think and literally only missed it three times . We have better pros than the vast majority of blue bloods. We’ve made 7 sweet sixteens 4 elite 8s and a final four. Wtf are you talking about nikka

I agree UT has been more consistent the last 10-12 years and has better pros, but OSU in the 2000s - 2012 has 2 or 3 final fours, including a runner up. OSU has a title (albeit old) and like 8 or 9 Final Fours to UT's 3.

Texas currently is a healthier program

Bro...MSU has 27 straight, Gonzaga has 26 straight, and KU has 35 straight (vacated 2018). Purdue's missed 4 or so going back to the late 80s.

I think UT has only missed the tournament i think 3 times since 99 which is still impressive.
