but i cannot stand this sauce. it's like Crystal if you poured half of it out and replaced it with vinegar. louisiana style hot sauce is great, even generic ones, but something about Texas Pete is just gross. it drives me up the wall when i go to a restaurant and all they have is that shyt. i love tabasco (their chipotle sauce is great too), crystal, sriracha, el yucateco, most habanero sauces, and a few ghost pepper sauces. secret aardvark is fantastic too, if you can find it.
but Texas Pete is like the cat piss of hot sauce. i've tried the black label "spicier" version too... it was a little better, but still unacceptable. why would you destroy a plate of good food with that nonsense?
and now these mfs are making a sriracha knock off?
