Hadnt listened to this album for a long time so I decided to give it another spin a couple day ago and that shyt has stayed on rotation ever since. Dope album. The production by Daz, Soopa etc. is dope af for the most part and the rapping is also dope. The best thing is the fact that Kurupt actually brings heat and is dope on here. From 2008 on Kurupt was really gettin back in the zone & being focused again for the most part, this shows on this album and also on 100 Wayz and his streetlights album (peep all the leftovers & unreleased cuts).

Man I got to revisit this one too. Kurupt was officially back after years of struggle raps from Space Boogie on. It was becoming almost embarrassing:mjcry:

His struggle streak was heavy from that Space Boogie album, all the way through his second death row stint until like 2007/2008.
Kuruption & Tha Streetz Iz A Mutha were weaker lyrically than what you could expect from an mc like Kurupt but his Tha Streetz album was still cool. Space Boogie had some amazing production but the lyrics were so trash on there, shyt is kinda embarassing to listen to at times. Still mad that he fukked up so many dope beats with his wack ass lyrics.

Against The Grain had some surprisingly dope production as well but Kurupts raps I think reached an all time low with that Gotti Bin Ladin shyt:hubie:

This is probably my 2nd favorite Dogg Pound album after Dogg Food. Very slept on.

Really? I never really listened to this shyt, but I thought their 2nd album Daz Dillinger and Young Gotti was slept on severely. shyt was a little long but it had some dope ass Mike Dean assisted beats. I might have listened to that one more than Dogg Food. Cali iz Active was wack as fukk, I dunno why Daz didn't produce on that one. I barely remember Dillinger and Gotti 2, Dog Chitt had a few tracks... but yeah.. if somebody could make a best of.. it'd be appreciated.

Yeah I'd say it is. Had that classic West coast feel to it.
