I think he's some what limited. He was pretty bad in Terminator Salvation and he wasn't even marketed in Public Enemies. Maybe that was just a bad time for him because he nearly fell off until he redeemed himself with the fighter.

Please don't ever bring up that garbage terminator salvation. Terribly terribly written movie, John Connor was supposed to have like 1 or 2 scenes and they overhauled the script just to give Bale more screentime, I hated public enemies, I forgot he was even in that. He was dope in the fighter tho

I don't think Salvation was that bad. It had its ups and downs. And the og script wouldn't really make sense if Conner would have had that limited amount of screen time. Terminator has always focused around Connor so to have him in the sub 98% of the time would have been stupid.

yeah it would've made sense, Sam Worthington was the main character. Them trying to rewrite an already terribly written script just fukked up things even more. One thing that annoyed the fukk out of me about that movie was the terminators just throwing Christian Bale around when a real terminator would've just stuck his hand through his chest and ripped his heart out, not fukking throw him around like they're wrestling

I watched The Machinist for the first time a couple weeks ago...his performance in that film was incredible. Since the only other Bale films I had seen prior to this is the Batman series and Equilibrium, I couldn't really appreciate how good of an actor he is but he is definitely talented.

i agree with yoiu. i didnt hate batman tho. he did well imo but eya hes been a better actor in other movies. you dont gotta act really tho when you got a mask and cape. batman can be interchangeable but idk about affleck
