thats crazy.....the labels gotta be getting paid tho or they would have been had that app shut down......
its crazy cause for the labels to even allow that app to exsist its like they are sabatoging the artists
I'm sure the labels are getting some $ off it. But how much of that gets to the artists? I'd bet VERY little.

yea these artists is dumb allowing that shyt to fly.......nikkas sitting over there believing that records aint sellin like they used to cause of the economy...while the labels is out here blantaly sabatoging these nikkas record sales
rdio make spotify seem stupid. Also Spotify fukks over artists a lot with their service. (I dont know bout Rdio in that regard but its almost so bad with spotify that anything would seem better)

This app is nice. I listen to spotify and at work and home all the time.
To OP...artist do get paid when you play a song. Spotify has adds that are played after every few tracks. Its a cheap way to listen almost any music you like for cheap (or free if you don't use the full version phone app) and still support your favorite artist.
That is unfortunate. I would pay for a subscription type of program like Spotify if it wasn't a rip off. Think I'll just stick with the free version then
If someone was independent and smart, yes. But most people youre "supporting" have no clue whats going on AFTER they sign that contract.
