I'll listen when the whole thing drops but, when you listen to the realness its clear that he was angry asf about everything...but on the true meaning he breaks it down better (love in, love out) and how he felt legit betrayed by the entire industry and by nas, and i honestly feel him.

Mega's music aged very well

I have an old burned dvd with realness, true meaning, legal hustle and testament in my car, It holds up really well. Realness is perfect.

Cormega always sounded like he doesn't know how to rap to me. I say that respectfully, no reason to disrespect Mega...just facts tho. He sounds like a novice, despite the decent rhyme scheming. I hated his verse on that Firm joint on KD1 man, lol, lyrically cool but just sounded awful to me.

He’s one of the best queens rappers ever
You don’t have Monch on the list off quick glance so I know it’s flawed.

Cormega is not a rapper.

He was a popular thug in his hood that got shouted out on a classic record when he was in prison and smartly parlayed it into a rap career.

With all that being said, he’s always been a horrible rapper.

Mega is a much better rapper than say Havoc. And his music aged a lot better than the majority of 50’s.

Just say you don’t like cormega and keep it moving because you’re talking a lot of nonsense like it's facts.

And i didn’t list pharohe Monche because the only rappers on that list he is better than are capone and nore arguably. He’s a good writer and has bars but he isn’t on the tier besides those two and havoc.

Havoc can spit 4 bars without having to get punched in.

I don’t rate emcees based off their catalog.

It’s a factor but a small one.

The only nonsense I see is this whole second paragraph.

Okay, that is a big difference between you and I. Their catalog, as in…what they actually rapped over the years…is my biggest factor.

Agree to disagree :hubie:
Yes, a lot of variables go into being a great emcee I value, that mostly come down to the artist’s talent and dedication to advancing their craft.

A lot of variables go into making a great album as well, and a lot of those variables can be manipulated by outside forces to make a lesser skilled emcee appear to be on par with a superior talent.
