Beyond what's already been stated about the obvious race issues, what about the fact that this film just looks bad in general? It looks like a made for Syfy channel series or film, which would be fine for the Syfy channel, but not for a major theatrical release.

Ancient Egypt and African advanced civilisation predate anything in Europe by 1000's of years. So it is safe to say since cacs were studying in Africa they were heavily influenced so own very little.
