I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
:wow:

I'll never forget it. I was a freshman in high school. I remember reading that WCW's deal with Fusient had fell through and I was like "Well, what's gonna happen now?" Then that Friday I go to WWF's page and I see the splash page:

And I was like ":damn: VINCE! You won! You bought your competition! :lawd: Hail King Vince!"

Then shortly after WrestleMania 17 I got my copy of the last WCW magazine. Which had this:

And I was like :stop: "This shyt is sad. :to:"

Stories? Thoughts?

The moment Vince appeared on Nitro the following Monday announcing that he bought WCW, I knew the war was over.

Around 1999. I think Jericho and other talent moving to WWF confirmed it and I stopped watching WCW entirely in early 2000. Was way into WWF going into 2001. When they announced Vince bought WCW I wasn't surprised.

there was something really special about jericho arriving, because as much as we talk about y2j being buried in wwf, they AT LEAST made him seem like a big deal right away after wcw just jobbed him out...because HE was a bigger deal, it made THEM look like a bigger deal. When jericho bounced (i'm not saying it ENDED or was the REASON for the wars ending) it was clear wwf was the fed to watch and the place to be.

They made a huge deal out of Jericho way more than when he was in WCW. I'd love to see those promos they aired to hype his arrival again.
