That Roddy Ricch flop and fall off is wild when you think about it.

If you talking about that The Box nikka he was never on to begin with. When an artist has a captivating single but they're not interesting and dont got other hits its a wrap. Word to Nardo Wick lil nikka not gonna be around next year.
A Diamond single, multi-platinum singles, and a multi platinum debut album is definitely being “on.”

While true the problem with Roddy is his singles carried him too much. Which sounds oxymoronic to say but at some point people have to buy into you as a celebrity/person/story. Like who exactly would a “Roddy Ricch” fan be? There was Bo personality or nothing more to latch onto but hot songs. But what happens when you don’t release that great of a song?

Is debut album was mediocre, his sophomore album was warm garbage water.

The only way he's ever bouncing back is if he delivers back to back to back FTS2-esque projects.

Well I can’t quote anything right now, but for those questioning the take on him never really being on, it’s not a far fetched take. The Box was a big song, but I’ve never met a Roddy Rich fan. In the streaming era having a big streaming song also propels your album into success even if no one is listening. This is why labels add the big songs onto the end of an album. It’s all smoke and mirrors. Nothing really stands out about dude, he just caught one. I’ve never rode by anyone playing a random album cut.
