Well tbh dude these jax rapper beefs are like chi-raq levels, my workplace got shot up cause of these nikkas (a dude applied for a job at amazon, killed this dude, then dude friends killed him while he was in line and even hit but didn't kill other people, then those dudes got killed later!) And it's actually very worrying that these dudes are getting notoriety and attention musically for murdering each other and mocking and baiting each other into more murder, it's disturbing as shyt.

It all started because one of foolios homies, nikka named Y&R Cho robbed and shot a nikka named Trae Shordy (he was yungeen gang, from the westside). He was in the go to war video, dark skinned nikka with the hoodie hood on (3rd verse). He ATK now though


He came back looking for him and killed this nikka named Zion and rest history. That ended up getting yungeen ace popped and 3 of his boyz killed, 23, 2x, (his lil bruh, quan quan )and 4.

Anyway...I generally hate drill rap but I do like a lot of the Jacksonville shyt once I got into it. It took some getting used to but there’s some dope talent from the city...I like JDot Breezy, Yungeen Ace, Spinabenz, Foolio and some others.

Regarding all the violence and death, I hate it and I find all the insults to the dead vile and disgusting, but it is what the music is about so you can’t not talk about it. There’s a burgeoning music scene that’s rising alongside the crime rate (Plus me and my Black ass kids live here, you dumb ass).

This was an interesting read on why the crime rate in Jacksonville is so much higher than the other Florida metros (Miami, Tampa Bay, Orlando).

Basically Jacksonville has always had a very much old racist southern good ol boy approach to fighting crime coupled with a lack of social investment that is present in places like Tampa and Miami where there is a taxing district for community investment, etc. Jacksonville doesn’t do anything in the way of early intervention to prevent crime and any successful social programs are underfunded.
