Moneyball =/= guys who draw walks

Moneyball was about taking advantage of market inefficiencies. At that time, a lot of baseball undervalued many player's abilities to get on base. That just happens to be one of the 2 Major League quality skills Daric Barton possesses.

But when you can't hit around the OBP your value is obviously extremely limited.

I'm just not a fan of the guy. There was one year out of about 5 or 6 now where he was good. He has been garbage for the rest and, not that it really matters, he has always seemed like a prick. I'm hoping they'll finally dump him this year.
