they spent for this, too. the LB's are homegrown, but Campbell/Jackson/Bouye and both safeties were FA. Jax spent alot the past 2 offseasons and it worked

No it starts with that monstrous defensive line. But they're stacked at every level of the defense, you rarely see that.
to have a D like this, dominating in 3 major categories, you gotta have elite play on all 3 levels
Campbell/Jackson/Yannick on the line
Smith/Poz (who has lost a step but is a very smart player) and Jack. Jack and Smith give them elite flexibility with TE coverage and sideline to sideline pursuit
then that secondary. 2 elite corners, a Pro Bowl FS and solid ol Barry Church who just has to secure tackles and cover some TE's

They're a bunch of dogs on defense. I still got my reservations about Bortles but the defense givea them a chance to compete in any stadium come January. Go for broke now because they wont be able to keep that unit together for long.
