The 2026 NFL hall of fame eligibility list has been released. Who is getting in first ballot?

Maybe it's the raider fan in me, but I'm surprised people think Phillip Rivers is a first ballot HOF.

People don’t know what they’re talking about. No way Rivers is first ballot anything except father

Hester was crazy good and I was still shocked when he went in. This would shock me, but it's been muted by the Hester enshrinement. Like I used to just think no matter how good of a return guy specialist you were. They just weren't going to put you in the HoF. Like Brian Mitchell is still the all time return yards leader, but never going to be in the HoF. And he was so fun to watch in the 90s.

This is the correct answer. However, I do think there’s a chance Witten gets in first ballot. I don’t value him that way, but I can see it.

It will be an embarrassment for the Pro Football HOF if Rivers and/or Gore get in first ballot.
