ive never really been one to care about surround sound, when im in the cinema I hardly pay attention to it. but being in small area such as a car, with 7.1 surround sound and avatar made the movie come to life. so my question is if the surround sound is this amazing in a car, should I think about getting it for my games room?

Not sure, you're gonna have to dig deeper on your own. Lots of diff headphone options to suit your needs. Was just lettin you know you have other options out there than just a traditional surround sound.
