200k in a bank account is a lot. Especially when federally you're only insured for upto 150k if the bank goes bust. Most money is tied up in investments, cars, property, label, other artists you signed etc. Having a lot of money in one account makes zero sense. Put that money to work.

depends on ur definition of rapper. If your talkin about anyone whoever put up a song on soundcloud than that goes way down.
If your talkin about people who actually make money off music, than thats closer to the truth but 200k is still high for ASAP Ant or someone like that.

But its funny how damn near every rapper with a deal likes to talk about how he has "two commas in his bank account" when thats not even the case...
Its probably less than 20 current rappers that acutally can print out a bank statement that shows a milly in their account especially that they acutally made off rap..

It's a vague ass statement.
I've seen these "average rappers" like Yo Gotti rent out hotel floors for him and his dudes, either they blow money without stackin for rainy days or some of this rappers just earn more bread than one would think (and obviously some less). I know that before ASAP dropped his album he wanted 50k for a show.
Or if someone like Nas was ordered to pay 600k a year from spousal/child support, he obviously cashes in faaar more.
