Yuk, E-40, Spice 1 alone had shyt on LOCK; however the East had GZA, Raekwon, Ghost in that same era, not to mention Buckshot, Smif N Wessun, Heltah Skeltah, Mobb Deep, Reasonable Doubt Jay, Capone and Noreaga, etc...
The New York area had some shyt in that time frame
No rapper from New York was technically better than the bay at that time..we had so many styles
