i don't think there are many of what you're talking about.
there's a full documentary about Reasonable Doubt
Ohhh shyt I forgot about this. Bout to watch it again
I was kinda disappointed in the Illmatic one but I'll watch it again on Netflix
The whole documentary was about shyt everybody already knows. I didn't learn anything from watching it but I'm studying docs with that similar formati was just disappointed that they kind of stopped without going through the whole album. they just finish at Memory Lane i think. did they even do One Love? i've only watched it once

Most documentaries/biopics are like that unfortunately. They typically make them like the "_________ for Dummies" books
I'm not even looking for anything spectacular... I just wanted a good visual about an album. But yeah, you're right but the Jay Z doc above was a good example. That one taught me a lotMost documentaries/biopics are like that unfortunately. They typically make them like the "_________ for Dummies" books
not much you can do about that. when something or someone gets to the point where you want to make a biopic or documentary about them or about something specific like an album that's been out for 20 years then most people are going to know 90% of the info.
especially in this day & age, there have been magazine articles, books, videos and interviews about Illmatic for the last 20 years so there's not much that has stayed a secret.
the only extra thing would have been seeing footage of the studio time or seeing Large Pro making a beat or something.
