I've been to my fair share of poorly run/bad customer service/missing inventory Black, White, Asian, Arab, Indian, and Latino small businesses.

When Habib n'nem are over charging or providing poor service - they don't pull the "Black" card on me.
When Ryu and Chun Li are on some, "Hurry up, buy and leave" - they're not saying "we black too"

But these Ethiopians/Eritreans/Somalis and what not in South East DC...quick to play the Black Card when you catch them not giving you the correct change, promising what they can't deliver, etc.

"My Brudda..."

Just today, at this spot

"Black owned" "Howard Alum"

I stop in, because I like to see what the bodegas have on offer. This one was fairly nice, though bulletproof enclosure for the cashier.
They had frozen meat and fresh vegetables.

I didn't really need anything like that, so I copped a soda.

The sign on the cooler said, 2.99.

Okay, 3 bucks, fine.

Get to the register, and it rings up as 2.49. (and the sign in the window says, there's a 50 cent up charge (which is 10x what a typical Point of Sales contract allows for...I digress)..

So I'm 50 cents to the good. Cheap as Giant.

Ol Boy - "I'm gonna honor this price because that's what it rang up as..."

HONOR THIS PRICE?
YOU DOING ME A FAVOR, CAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO INVENTORY AND PRICING PROPERLY?

SMH.
That experience got you upset and using ALL CAPS? :mjlol: 2.49 or 2.99 soda??

Stop sweating the little stuff. It’s not that serious.

One thing about certain black people is that they will always reserve their harshest judgment for each other and give grace to everyone else.
