When it was 2003 i moved alone to the east until then i was just mainstream and street hiphop and all black. When i went to college this white dude a b-boy into the hiphop tags,dance,art everything we connected and we shared music interests. Im all like Mase,mobb,nas,etc and he was like common,talib,mos def,atcq,etc 
and i used to think it was wack garbage raps until he decided to make me a mixtape of his favourtie songs. Im telling you 
that cassette tape only had flames, and a little jazz at the end of the B-Side that was all so fitting. I bumped that tape non stop smoking and also learning to write new style of raps, that mixtape was the best gift i ever got and on there was this track one of the best on it :

whats your best ever gift ? i hope this song i gave yall comes close. its the soundtrack to one of my first adventures at life as an independent man. it was just me me and the music, i thank that dude. i taught him to rap so, its all good.
