For "Overall Technical Ability" I only really think the first 3 apply, just imo. I would add Vocabulary (Choice of words being used. Maybe some call that "Lyricism") and Delivery. For me Lupe has this one...or Jay-z, but imo Jay-z isn't anywhere close to being as good of a lyricist as Lupe. And with the wordplay there may be an even wider distance between them...really anybody and Lupe, not just Jay-z, lol. Both 10/10 with all the flows they play with, I'll give that to Jayz tho since Lupe traced his flow(s) for the most part. Yeah, overall I got Lupe being the best technically ever.

Overall songwriting is more subjective...I got Nas taking that pretty convincingly, for me. Pac is up there too.

Career is Jay-z or Nas, I don't even see how anyone else can be mentioned.

Good suggestions. I did consider vocabulary, but honestly, i probably pay more attention to how they rhyme vs a particular word they may have used. I consider delivery as a combination of their voice as well as how they express themselves, so I just split that into two. I did change “enjoyable music” to beat selection” and for the career category, I added impact and influence.

Overall Technical Ability- Eminem

Rhyme schemes/patterns- Em has crazy rhyme patterns and is possibly the best at how he forms multi- syllabic rhymes, assonance, stretching syllables to make words that don't sound like they rhyme rhyme

Flow- up until Recovery, Em's flow was pristine

Wordplay- Not necessarily THE best, but one of the best

Voice- this is a weakness of his

Evoking emotion- He had this and still shows flashes of this

Overall Songwriting- Nas
Storytelling- Arguably GOAT storyteller

Battle/Diss records- "Ether" is a GOAT level diss track and he has sever al others that ared dope

Subject matter- Also a strength

Creativity- "I Gave You Power", "One Love", "Rewind", "One Mic", "Sekou Story"/"Live Now"

Beat selection-

Overall Career- LL Cool J

Album Sales- Several platinum and double platinum albums and was still a gold artist 20+ years after his debut.

Hits/Classic songs (songs that have stood test of time)- Crazy amount of hit songs and classics

Longevity/Relevence- was still relevant nearly 20 years after his debut

Impact- One of the first real superstars of rap, if not THE first. He also transitioned into acting, doing ads for clothing line, and a lot of the other Hip Hop endorsements that came after. Musically, every Hip Hop loverboy has some LL Cool J in their style. Not just the loverboy MC's, but LL was battle tested as well and has some legendary battles. LL Cool J is the template for legendary careers

Influence- see some of the above

You’re the only one who followed directions, except…you could’ve named a different rapper for each category. Like when you said Eminem’s voice was a weakness of his, you could’ve just named another rapper that fit that criteria. You can feel Eminem is the best technical rapper, but it’s possible he may not be the best at any individual sub category.
