Definitely difficult to find a plate serving woman outside a certain age range ... but to clarify the question , the child is over the age where he/she often requires the woman to feed immediately... at the first sign of hunger . I’ll leave it like that .

Well when you put it like that, yeah I would allow the child to be fed first. Any man would put his his kids first. I don’t think the mother would be any less of a family woman if she fed her man first.

If it's a big extended family dinner, then you gotta make sure the kids are taken care of first.
If it's just a regular dinner, then it really doesn't matter. It didn't matter in our family cause none of us could eat until grace was said anyways.
