*Nas is the type of nikka that puts messages in his songs and wants you to hear it he doesnt hide it

*Jayz is the type of nikka that raps about nikkas not hearing his message but in reality doesnt have a message

nas the perfect example of a nikka who never changed and prolly never will
i think it kind of limited him but he can still say he never switched up

jayz is the perfect example of a nikka who had to change everything to get where he at. not in a business savy way but in a i reinvented myself kind of way

what yall think?

Nas probably changed the most as an artist in my opinion, Jay Z through time and hindsight has attached his self to every major sound or new artist at some point in time even up to now hoping on Kendrick Lamar remix so from a business stance in my opinion so hes constantly changing and staying current as an artist so his sound changes but not so much the content and overall message of his music. Which to me is just basically I was a successful drug dealer now I'm a successful rapper for the most part (Yes he has other songs talking overall). Nas has a ton of message and Nas from a business prescriptive hasn't changed much at all, which is where and why Jay Z outshines him the most in the court of public opinion (In my opinion) when fans argue. I think most real hiphop heads respect them both for what they do. Personally if I had to pick one for personal taste it would be Nas but yet if i'm getting ready for a party or something I'm probably going to throw on Jay Z (out of the two)

Thats the main difference you noticed? You mean you didn't notice BEYONCE or 500 million in the bank?

You took what I said out of context not literally copying people style but using them to stay current or for lack of better word on top and it just my opinion but you want me take his last 3 albums when hes already comfortable but he has like 13? He was Cool with Biggie on his come up and the lox, Wanted to be cool with Nas Foxy and firm when they was hot, Hopped on Juvie remix when cash money was blowing, He was cool with Murder Ink when Ja was poppin, then he was cool with Ruff Ryders when they was popping, R Kelly before the scandal, Hopped on Cam song and didnt even like him and only cause it was on the radio toured with 50 when he was popping, started paying attention to Kanye when he made a name for his self and normally uses the big name producers of the time ie people that are shapping the current sound. My point is Jay Z knows how to keep hisself current even though he is in his 40's and other people his age that were rappers have long retired.
