Don't Forget Whoopi Goldberg basically ran the 80's and early 90s.

But colorism in hollywood does exist, it's just mainly with roles that are meant to have eye candy or be sexually appealing. They always go light skinned actresses in those cases.
But in a regular drama's, comedy or anything not meant to look sexy, i don't see many cases of colorism.

aha. I think you hit on something without even realizing it. The sexualization of biracial people in film is why it's a problem, not that they are getting the roles, more so the fact that they are used as the standard of beauty for black images on film. That's a problem.
