What does this old black man want to dress like a teenage cac hipster?

You cant ask for money with no pride.. just because you put the label African amerkkan in front of it, im suppose to support it?

Naw.. the type of black people that dedicate to helping are more proud than this.

Nikka lookin' more confused than young buck :mjlol: How you gon' start a funding company but need funding yourself? :heh: I salute for the effort but his game plan is all wrong. He should have gotten a $5K credit card (or clean up his credit and get one in case he has bad credit), start funding himself, and then showing results to people. When you're black you have to work twice as hard with REAL results to get investors, it is what it is. :manny:

You make a great point. Dude should have started small. He should have tried to grow it amongst black ppl in his local area. Get some black ppl with good ideas and go around and try get those funded through his site. Then keep building from there. Ppl are more likely to fund someone they know or heard of or are local to them. And then let the buzz gorw from there. After a few successful campaigns then he could have tried to get some media buzz going on. And let it grow from there. This is the strategy that Groupon, Tinder have all recently done. They started small in their local area and grew it from there.

You can fund something as simple as a paper route with a $500 loan, with $5K he could be his own kickstarter. He just needs to show he has a good eye ( :laff: I'm sorry, I'm dying at this nikkaz face, somebody please make a smiley). Results, results, results is the name of the game.

This YouTuber has 200,000 subscribers. She had wanted $80,000 so she could start her own "network" which was essentially a website with YouTube like videos. She only got $440 in two weeks so she cancelled the campaign. A lot of her followers said they supported her but they didn't donate. Many were delusional and thought the venture was going to make money and wanted to know what they would get for their "investment".

She's tripping if she thought 200,000 subscribers would have gotten her 80k in donations. Not even close. She'd have to get that donation campaign to 5x that userbase with big online media outlets publishing the story. I think alot of black people are a little confused as to how crowdfunding works.

YouTube uses a complex formula to determine how much they pay. I looked up Taren Guy by her old user name Taren916 and this site says she make anywhere from $2K-$16K a year. She travels a lot and does hair events/workshops mostly in the US, but sometimes overseas. She may also receive payment from hair companies to promote their products.

This video breaks down how YouTubers get paid, but it is still unclear how much.

She probably doesn't make much money from youtube directly but from the 3rd party hair she's probably eating. She should be creating her own line of hair and beauty products though imo. She's missing out on alot of money by not doing that.
