Not for getting shot down in the streets calling myself protesting for someone from Haiti, or Nigeria, or Mexico City.Remember when people didn't trust Malcolm X or believe in MLKs dream?
Remember the separation between the followers of both activists?
Remember when black people criticized Kaepernick for taking a knee and said it was divisive? And still watch football with no black ownership til this day. (Or posts on X, a white supremacist platform)
Remember when black people believed a specific political party supported our cause?
Remember when people criticized Muhammad Ali for changing his name and joining the NOI or not joining in the white man's war against Vietnam?
What do you want to be remembered for?
Would buyers remorse traumatize you that much in the current climate that we're living in?
Not too long ago a Black woman was killed by the Capitol Police up in DC for running into a barricade or something like that, but I don't remember all the hot anger and calls to take to the streets for her.
And I certainly haven't seen videos of thousands of Haitians or Nigerians or Kenyans or Jamaicans out in the streets taking on ICE since this all started. I've seen alotta latinos and funny colored hair fat white lesbian liberals. We should be seeing the same numbers at these protests we see during those big ethnic day parades - Jamaican flags by the thousands out in the streets getting it on with ICE. But we ain't. At least I haven't seen it.
