Everyone who has ever lived in the south knows pier pressure is on 5 million down there. It's why every dating profile has "Jesus is my life" even though they hoes and not religious at all. But we've never been a monolith. They just never campaigned effectively to our communities. Before social media they went to places where we gathered in large numbers, ie churches and HBCUs.

Theres more churches than HBCUs and out of town students dont vote local. So they ended up with mostly one type of black voter. Churches are still bringing in voters to the booth by the bus load

Look at his townhalls in south carolina and north carolina. He is talking directly to those people and it meant nothing.
