Pussied out on the "30 days to save your family" part. You got 30 days to do it but the game won't end but it could be "consequences" for your family.

Should have kept it all the way funky. If you don't save your family in 30 days the game ends, uninstalls itself and you can never play it again. Would have been a day 1 cop for me.
