The
Sacramento Kings have officially signed
Sim Bhullar to a 10-day contract, making Bhullar the first player of Indian descent to play in the NBA. The 7'5" Bhullar has spent this season playing for the Reno Bighorns, Sacramento's D-League partner.
Bhullar has averaged 10.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 3.9 blocks per game in Reno's uptempo system.
As the season winds down, it makes sense for the Kings to see how Bhullar can fare against NBA big men. Sim struggled in limited minutes during Summer League, but seems to have found comfort with the Bighorns. DeMarcus Cousins has been given opportunities to rest in the last week or two, but Sacramento's lack of big man depth has hurt the team when Boogie isn't available.
Bhullar is the fourth player the Kings have called up this season, joining
Quincy Miller,
David Stockton, and David Wear. Each call up has been given an opportunity to see the floor, and Bhullar is expected to play on Friday when the Kings face the
New Orleans Pelicans.
Numbers are aight, but what them stretches like 4-6 minutes? But the thought of having a real shot blocking threat though
He need to get on that Marc Gasol diet plan. It ain't cool when you got hands down on your knees in a highlight video.
