There hasn't been a golden age of Black centric television since the 90s/ early 00. I will even say it BETTER now.

Y are so many black people comapring and trying to get shows cancelled cause it doesn't fit Them.

I swear so many of our people have a craft barrel mentality.

I'm simply comparing the 2 shows that are based around the black music industry.

its not that serious.

how is this such a hard concept for people to grasp? lol.

I do agree that we are in the midst of a new golden era tho. that was the original thread that I was gonna make.

Empire is cool...if we are being absolutely non biased...writing has picked up this season so its a bit more enjoyable....

Da Breaks is a good show but the it factor is not there....Ive been watching it though....last few episodes have been better...but the show has writing issues as well....

in terms of sassy drama shows, i'll take "saints & sinners" over empire at this point as well.
just like they back to back with it.

especially ol girl having a baby for miles knowingly, yet saying the other cat the father.
plus taking pills or whatever to slow down/stop the pregnancy. All while keeping a straight face.

In the 1st season the damn preacher wife was having a affair with a woman.

clifton powell always caught up in some shyt.
and jd williams character and that crooked mexican police officer.
