In October 2, 2001, an increasing number of CIA operatives getting caught deep undercover. They were new agents who, just because of their fluency and knowledge of Arabic, were thrown quickly into the field. They were unable to handle "truth serum" injections, sodium pentothal, while being interrogated. A new project was opened. It was called Project Covo. To begin, they wanted to create a drug that would allow an agent's body to break down the truth serum so it would not affect his mind. Initial tests were performed on subjects who had to maintain a fabricated identity, not under the duress of sodium pentothol.
One year later, a new formula was generated, but it wore off quickly once sodium pentathol was injected into the subject's body. The project leader approved for dosages to be doubled. On February 4, 2003, all subjects were given a triple dosage by accident. A laboratory assistant, who happened to be sleepy, messed up the formulation. The outcome of that experiment was dreadful. The results were almost like a lobotomy. Subjects were unable to exit their false identity.
On December 2, 2002, Dr. Thomas Avery decided to create a new test where all subjects were given new identities that were challenging, yet harmless. It turns out that all subjects were Caucasian and the identities they were take on were African-American persons. Daily, they were to log into the computer and chat amongst other subjects, but they never saw each other. Each was placed into a room in different parts of the country. They were administered an injection once daily.
On the day after subjects were given a triple dosage, scientists noticed that all the subjects maintained their identity hours after the injection. The longest someone was able to maintain their false identity was two hours. This day, all subject maintained their false identities until they fell asleep. Under 24/7 observation, all subjects awoke with their false identities, changed their appearance and personas.
September 12, 2003, five subjects escaped their laboratory cells and disappeared from under security. The CIA didn't jump to a higher level of security since they weren't deemed dangerous, but a search was conducted to find all five subjects.
The head of the CIA called for the project to be immediately scrapped and the subjects assasinated secretly. It had to be quietly dismantled with the public never knowing of the project. One by one, subjects mysteriously began to disappear while the search continued for the five escaped subjects.
The names of the subjects are 1. Chauncey Billups, 2. Travon Luther Vandross O'Neal, 3. Michael Jordan Howard, 4. Quamillothane Hightower, and 5. Robert Smith II.
