I don't engage in oppression olympics and won't downplay what they're facing. All groups that have been systematically dispossessed and harmed should be given proper reparations and restitution. We're at the front of that line.
At the same time, yes, cacs/liberals are more comfortable supporting some feel-good stuff like reparations for ICE detainees because it doesn't implicate their entire social identity and position in this country. Stuff like this shows they don't really give a shyt about us and our struggles. This cac in particular has written about BLM in the past on The Atlantic, but the first article he writes about reparations is one concerning ICE detainees.
Another thing is that this can be used by liberal cacs to score points against the Trump administration because they perceive the anti-immigrant sentiment to be more of a right-wing/Trumpian phenomenon. Anti-Afrikan sentiment and action has been bipartisan since 1776.
I'm not gonna cape on this issue nor organize around it. All of my political energy goes into our struggle in particular and socialist struggle more broadly.

If this bill even sees the light of day, then AfrAms will have every reason and honestly no choice but to demand reparations. Native Americans got reparations. Japanese-Americans got reparations. German Jews got reparations, a country of their own, and very regular payments in the form of foreign aid (from the US), a nuke, assistance in weapons development, and prime weapons purchasing. So if illegal immigrants are getting reparations in the form of money or citizenship then AfrAms can't be denied reparations any longer.
Mexicacs will be white in 2024. Blacks are still under Dred Scott. This needs to be handled by the community to fight to remove the collective from Dred Scott
