I came to the table hella late.

I was a Death Row stan after the No Limit hype died. There were so many so many documentaries on the fall of Death Row in 98 when Suge got locked up. Then the Greatest Hits 2pac album dropped and it was everywhere. During this time after Eminem's 2nd album Dre was being labeled as the greatest producer of all time. Then 2001 dropped and I was a huge Dre stan and in many of his interviews he and so many others would talk about Chronic like Jay talked about Reasonable Doubt in the mid-2000. I then went and back tracked and bought The Chronic to see what the hype was about. I wasnt let down, shyt was flawless. Every track sounded full and funky.

I was about 13 then and crowned The Chronic as the greatest album of all time. Even better than 2001 which I knew all the words to. 2001 had a few tracks that seemed to serve no purpose IMHO, Light Speed, Pause 4 Porno..etc.

That title still stands today.

the attention to detail was amazing...the little sound effects and sequencing was flawless.

I still remember seeing the video for Deep Cover like :ohhh:
Then recording Ain't Nothing But a G thang off the radio :prodigylol:
I remember after the album dropped I went over to some breh's house that I'd never met (and never saw again after that) because he had the album and was making dubs :wow:

I don't know who that Breh was, but he changed my life :wow:
I remember parties where this was the soundtrack. :wow:
You could argue this is the single most influential and impactful album ever :wow:
