Man, woman, and child
first time west coast rappers were getting daily radio play over here on the east coast (unless you count MC Hammer and Young MC :heh:)

We knew who a lot of them were due to music videos but it was crazy to hear them on the radio. This album singlehandedly killed what was left of the New Jack Swing era and that gangsta shyt went mainstream

I was back in high school when this dropped, working at Sam Goody/Musicland. Every nikka in my hood had the tape or cd in every walkman, discman, home and car stereo. This shyt was the smoothest, flyest, funk laced, bangin-est music out. Dre blessed yo ears and took you on a journey. Heard nothing like it, ever. I remember when the 1st video dropped, Nothing But A G Thang, Snoop on the lyrics, them high pitched keyboards, and that deep ass bassline. My homie had 2 Pyramid 12's in his car, this whole cd used to beat so damn hard. You heard it almost everywhere around the city. Back then Death Row was a fukking monster, with Dre, Snoop, RBX, Daz, Kurupt, and Lady of Rage. And everyone came correct on the tracks. High Powered was just sooo :ohlawd:

Got damn this thread finna make me go dig out this cd along with Dogg Food, Doggystyle, Murder Was The Case, and The Wash
