So much scam crap out their. Crap electronics that try to hide that they're Chinese. I was looking for a USB-c hub recently, all kinds of products with made-up sounding names on Amazon "HooToo", "Beaok", etc. You try to google for the company name, and they don't even have one. Multiple clone products with bad reviews hidden underneath the one good product (assuming you filter by stars). It took me an hour to find what looked like a reputable product.

The computer electronics market is getting bad. I used to be able to easily avoid the junk, now it's being featured. And, God knows what kind of spyware is hiding in the hardware.

The world is being set up for a massive cyber warefare takedown. The Chinese just got busted trying to route traffic for a whole damn country through their servers

alot of the stuff sold in american stores ARE MADE IN CHINA... Apple, google phones, laptops... it's been this way for years... the only thing that changed is that the chinese market has come up and alot of 3rd and 4th party vendors are trying to eat off the plate and it makes sense since it comes from there anyways... why you think china so damned rich... most goods not even made in the U.S. anymore...

Misconception, a lot of electronics are *assembled* in China. The parts come from other places in the western world. There was a good Ted talk on this I think.

But this is still a huge issue becuas the Chinese are robbing us blind on IPs then turning around and churning out garbage products with that they've learned/stolen.

a lot of that amazon shyt is american small businesses/side hustles flipping that shyt; buying wholesale from china (dhgate, aliexpress or even options with better rates) and they're enrolled in the fulfilled by amazon program and get it out there to you quickly. it's the same products with different names in the listings and the store owner pays amazon (or ebay) a fee to promote it.

oh an you have to check the listings on fakespot before you buy. they're paying reviewers for fake ratings too.
