i've listened to the chronic for years but only started bumping Safe+Sound for the last two months.

I wouldve laughed at the thought that DJQuik was on dre level before but I get it now. This album is fire.

Safe + Sound has become one of my favorite Hip-Hop albums in recent years. Summer Breeze, Safe + Sound, Somethin 4 Tha Mood, Let You Have It, Keep tha P In It, Tanqueray. Just ultimate ridin' music. 
Chronic has the better "classic" songs and is more entertaining from a rapping standpoint but Safe + Sound aged way better IMO. I prefer it.

Sometimes I wonder if The Chronic only sounds dated because it was endlessly bit and played to death.
With that said, I never really liked The Chronic and Safe+Sound is one of my GOAT rap albums. It's actually the 2nd rap album I can remember listening to and digesting fully, appreciating everything about it (the first being Smiff n Wessun's "Dah Shining"). I just remember thinking that musically, MUSICALLY, it sounded incredibly adult.
