I dont care if you're a PC master racer, or Sony stan. If you aint down with this...You aint down with gaming.
This my friends, is next gen. Did you hear what that guy said? They had to actually build these buildings like architects, engineers, etc. REAL PHYSICS. Sure we've been hearing that for years on certain games. and we knew they were only telling us half the story. But today is a new day. When they say REAL physics, They actually mean it, this time.
and I'll throw you a lob. how will future games create huge cities with 100's, 1000's of buildings, that can be destructible like this? In addition, if its real architecture. then you can go inside of ANY and EVERY building, car, etc in the game. Who's going to do all of that work? some studios will hire 200 artists.
while others will start using the same thing that has created No Man's Sky...Procedural Generation. Meaning, if you were to upload lets say 100 different types of architectural building plans into your procedural generated formula. It can take all of that info and create even more types of buildings that are still based on real life physics/architecture.
Real physics means perhaps for the first time ever, our sports games will work like their real life counterparts. perhaps there is no more morphing thru players. if i can build a building with real architecture in mind. i can build a human body with real skeletal/muscles in mind. When that round ball hits that wood floor. it bounces back up because the floor is actually there now. its not just a picture of a floor and then fancy programming to create a force field under your players feet to resemble a floor.
What yall know about real life foot planting. they've been saying this for the past 5 years. they've gotten better at it. But this kind of stuff can take it to that next level of realism ladies and gentlemen.
