Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
Only 14 state legislatures have a filibuster:

Alabama
Alaska
Arkansas
Connecticut
Florida
Hawaii
Idaho
Maine
Missouri
Nebraska
South Carolina
Texas
Utah
Vermont

A filibuster-proof majority of our Laboratories of Democracies don't have filibusters...

We should give it a try nationally

There is no "try":pachaha: any changes made are likely permanent, thus we should proceed cautiously.
The citizens and the states have abdicated too much to the federal gov... we need reverse this trend and focus empowering the bottom not the top IMO

The capabilities of the Federal Govt are limited by The Constitution just like our basic Rights are protected by it.

All other laws are at the whim of Us, the People. No need to fear politicians. 1/6 was just a recent reminder of how easily we can touch these people.

Its as if Trump never existed:heh:
I'm black, so i know my basic rights are not protected by sh*t and aint shyt "at the whim of us". The gov is a terrifying oppressor, and politicians are "easily touched" by whites. We know exactly how it would have looked if nikkas ran in there. Hell if Rand Pauls neighbor who tackled him had been black, he'd be under the jail.
I say keep its hands tied and reach to a minimum.
Making it easier for them to do what they want cant be good for those of us the bill of rights wasnt designed to protect.

You still sound scared, man. The oppression you should fear is from the States. That's who's dished it out historically in this country. The Federal government, and the Constitution has actually saved our asses.

Take for example, something as basic as the right to vote and access to the ballot box. Georgia is trying to make it harder to vote. The Democrats in Congress are trying to make it easier to vote. Congress, though, can't do much to make it harder because it's protected by the Constitution
