hey guys
forgive me because I think I proposed this in the past, but i think its a good idea and shouldn't be too brutal to implement unless corrected.
I have two usernames which everyone knows, and this one is a virtual safe mode. No smileys, swear words, media, pics, avatars, sigs, etc. This is so I can browse at work without too much fear.
sometimes a thread is actually NSFW because its content without much warning. Here is an example:
http://www.thecoli.com/threads/wwe-network-might-have-some-9-99-competition.344404/unread
I think there should be a 'safe mode' button somewhere, which would toggle these features similar to changing the skin on the coli. I'd rather not have two names and would like to merge them if this was available.
In addition, users or mods could maybe use an NSFW tag that would make those threads not show up if the tag is applied.
give it some thought. I imagine this feature would drive up day time traffic and in addition could draw in advertisers who might find some content unsavory.
