You do realise that version of Lowry (back in 2016) was averaging 20+ ppg on high efficiency, right? Nothing that’s happened six years later when he’s finished as a high impact player changes that.

The fact that Lowry was once upon a time a high volume scorer on high efficiency (on another level compared to Kidd) proves that I am correct. Kidd was near damn ineffective in the half court, and Lowry was equally adept at playing on and off ball to generate offense.

Kidd is probably the best guard defensive of all time though his impact on that end is amazing also he was asked to do more offensively than Lowry.

Kyle had a great career and deserves hall of fame of course.

I'd rank Kidd higher though. 5 time all NBA 1st team is no joke. You can have one fluke selection like Joakim Noah or whoeve else, but not 5.

If we did this all time list we would have to consider eras they played in. Kidd was considered a major star figure back then in his prime.

There wasn't even an argument about where either player ranks all-time. It was all about the best version vs. the best version.

Regardless of that though, when this thread was made in 2016, I bet nobody expected him to still be in the league a decade later, all after winning a chip as an integral piece and quite possibly end up in the HOF. He proved a lot of dudes wrong who shytted on him.
