Found this Polo suede sport jacket at Century 21 yesterday

I wonder if you could get that tailored.
The shoulders seem a bit too wide. And the sleeves might need to be shortened maybe 2 inches.

I bet the texture is fantastic, even if it doesn’t show up easily in photos.

I don’t mean to be critical. It looks like a great find.

Trouser game has improved by tenfold, I now know why ‘shape and drape’ is important.

I got the penny loafers. I went with the Classic Dan by Sebago - comfortable, classic silhouette, loads of compliments. Will get some more OTC socks to show a little personality, nothing juvenile though.

Generally my overcoat game is good, however, COS came through and dropped a coat I had to get. No regrets, a real statement piece.

Yep I plan to get the sleeves shortened, but I don’t think there’s anything I can do about the shoulders. I had some sleeves tailored on a Burberry trench coat years ago. I took it to the Burberry store on Rodeo for the alterations.

I gotta figure out where to get this Polo jacket tailored now that I’m in DC. Probably the Neiman’s or Saks tailors

Do yall remember Maurice Malone from the 90s? I saw that there was a denim tailor expert in Greenpoint Brooklyn, so I took like 8 pair there a few years ago. It ended up being him, he has a brand and workspace called Willamsburg Garment Co. He did an incredible job on all denim, just expect a wait for anything besides tailoring.

He also put in patches in the crotch, which are known to tear in heavy selvedge denim. His repairs are a work of art…he matches the fabric and weaving so you can’t even tell. If you need any denim alterations, I def recommend him.
