It goes without saying that the 90s marked the golden era of Hip-Hop. The decade spawned a riveting collection of songs, whose novelty and blunt honesty captured the spirit of the times like no other genre could. Hence, I'm disappointed that the Coli hasn't created (or sustained) an official 90s rap thread.

This thread is motivated in part by my own selfishness, as there's a lot of music from that era that I haven't even heard. But I also wanna make the music more accessible to young people (2000s babies, for ex) interested in learning more about the era. I want you to post your favorite RAP videos, songs and albums from the 90s. I don't care if it's mainstream or underground, early, mid or late 90s. If it's RAP music that was made in that decade, please post it here. I'll try* to kick things off with this joint by Shyheim:

*Try because there's a strong possibility that this thread will flop. Don't disappoint me brehs:mjcry:. Let's ALL make an epic thread.

One of the things I miss most about 90's hip hop are the jokes & silly vibes. They were just bein real and havin fun.

These days everyone is fake as fukk. :francis:

Growing up, I thought parties would be like Digital Underground videos...
