For add-ons, this is going to be my one of my first major projects in the next 2 years (An outdoor shower) :noah:

I haven't even had the time to repaint my guest rooms and my bathroom or bathrooms since I moved in because I'm never home

I was in Home Depot and they have this suede finish paint and I want it for my room

Besides the painting, the only thing I might get done this summer is redoing my driveway

Say brehs, I see the financial benefits of owning a home vs renting, however I don't know if I want to stay in that house for years. (I love to travel)
Do you know if it's possible to do a rent to own situation
Where you rent out a house you may want and have the option to buy it later (but you're not obligated to)
I read about it and it seems like it makes sense...

Just wondering how you homeowners officially decided to stay in one location for years to come

Or perhaps it's best for me to keep renting until I can make up my mind on a city I want to call home
I think I got home commitment phobia :wow:

thanks brehs:hamster:

I been in my spot for like 6 years, but I might be moving in the next 6 months. so I'm not trying to do any major home improvements around here. I will probably rent this crib out to my wife's cousin when we upgrade our housing situation.

The Rent to Own thing is actually starting to pop off a bit. I've heard of a couple of low-income housing constructions that use that model recently.

Truth be told, though, if you're gonna be in any given location for 5 years or so you're probably better off buying.

The NYT website has a nice calculator to help you figure it out but I can't link it since I'm at work.
